Fastship UK Ltd. was founded as a specialist shipping operation and is owned and managed by Edward Pain. Having spent 10 years as a deck officer in the British Merchant Navy and a further 27 years working on project shipping operations throughout the World, Edward has approaching 40 years hands on experience in the transport and shipping industry.
AEO status came into force in the European Union on 1st January 2008 and has now become the internationally recognised quality mark for businesses involved in the supply chain. To be granted AEO status, companies must prove their reliability in customs compliance, safety and security, record keeping, and financial solvency. Fastship UK achieved AEO status on 3rd November 2010. More information regarding AEO can be found at www.hmrc.gov.uk and / or www.businesslink.gov.uk.
The Company is a registered trading member of The British International Freight Association (BIFA) and conducts its business under BIFA Standard Terms & Conditions (STC's).
